BUSINESS TO BUSINESS (B2B) SESSION

The purpose of this session is to provide a platform for business entities, conservation management authorities, PDIs, communities, who have bankable projects within the Biodiversity sector value chains to pitch their business concepts to potential investors.
OBJECTIVES
Pitch the biodiversity economy sector as a lucrative investment portfolio for investors. | Profile bankable opportunities within the biodiversity sector. | Provide a platform for entrepreneurs, communities and other stakeholders to interact with investors.

BIODIVERSITY ECONOMY COMMISSIONS
Purpose: The commissions will discuss how NBES imperatives could be achieved within the four goals of the white paper relevant to the wildlife, bioprospecting / biotrade, ecotourism, forestry, marine and freshwater, and biodiversity-based harvesting and production.
WILDLIFE COMMISSION

Objectives: To facilitate technical discussions towards development of an inclusive programme of action or roadmap for the implementation of goal 2 of the National Biodiversity Economy Strategy in line with the goals of the White Paper on Conservation and Sustainable Use of South Africa's Biodiversity. | To explore Wildlife Sector's contribution to addressing poverty, unemployment, and inequality.

BIOPROSPECTING COMMISSION

Objectives: To highlight the objectives of the BIOPANZA and facilitate the inclusive contribution towards its implementation framework and action plans for each of the five clusters. | To facilitate robust solution-oriented discussions on the challenges of the Sector towards the development of an inclusive programme of action or roadmap to facilitate the implementation of goal 4 of the National Biodiversity Economy Strategy in line with the goals of the White Paper on Conservation and Sustainable Use of South Africa's Biodiversity. | To explore Bioprospecting/Biotrade Sector's contribution to addressing poverty, unemployment, and inequality.

AQUACULTURE AND FISHERIES (INLAND AND MARINE) COMMISSION

Objectives: To facilitate technical discussions towards development of an inclusive programme of action or roadmap for the implementation of goal 3 of the National Biodiversity Economy Strategy i.e. Consumptive use of wild and produced marine and freshwater resources that drives inclusive socio-economic development. | To explore and integrate small-scale aquaculture, inland and marine fisheries sectors' contribution to addressing poverty, unemployment, food security and inequality.
