The DFFE call for applications into the 24-month Internship Programme have closed. No late applications will be accepted. Therefore the information provided below is for advisory purposes only, for interested and affected parties to familiarise with the criteria applied by the DFFE in this programme.
The Internship Programme is advertised through the national newspapers, this website and the DFFE social media platforms once a new call for applications has been initiated.

STIPEND
Interns receive a stipend / allowance per month.
PROCEDURE TO FOLLOW WHEN APPLYING
Applicants must:
- be unemployed youth (South African (SA) citizens);
- have not previously participated in any internship programme in the public service;
- have completed at least a three (3) year qualification from a recognised higher education institution.
Order of application documents:
- application must be submitted on a new Z83 form and students are encouraged to list their major subjects on the CV or put the academic record;
- only shortlisted candidates are required to submit certified copies of ID documents, qualifications, and recent academic transcripts/records;
- incomplete, e-mailed, faxed and late applications are NOT considered.
