South Africa commemorates World Wildlife Day (WWD), 03 March 2023

To celebrate WWD 2023 the DFFE launched the Biodiversity National Electronic Permitting system which will go live on 1 April 2023. This system will strengthen institutional capacity and ensure the effective management of wildlife trade monitoring.

Speaking at the launch, DDG: Biodiversity and Conservation Ms Flora Mokgohloa said this e-permitting system has been made possible by the support of @theGEF’s 6th Programme which highlights the importance of partnerships for conservation.
