The Minister of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment established a Ministerial Task Team (herewith, referred to as the Task Team), mandated to identify voluntary exit options and pathways for the captive lion industry. The Task Team is scheduled to undertake a broader consultative session open to all role-players and the public.

Purpose of the event / sessions

Interested and affected members of the public are invited to a feedback session, to highlight the progress and current exit options for voluntary exit from the captive lion industry. These session will provide a platform for the Task Team to present the draft voluntary exit options and pathways for the captive lion industry, for stakeholders’ inputs and comments.
