The honorable Mayor of Naledi Local Municipality, Cllr.Neo Skulk together with the Premier of North West, Mr Bushy Maape receiving Deputy Minister, Ms Makhotso Sotyu ahead of today's 10 Million Trees Programme which is being held in conjunction with the closing of Arbor Month

Today's 10 Million Trees Programme forms part of the annual DFFE Arbor Month campaign celebrated under the theme: “Forest Restoration: a path to recovery and well-being,” signifying the importance of protecting and conserving the country’s biodiversity as the backbone of our economy

Deputy Minister Sotyu and her delegation start off today's activities in Huhudi Township where they have identified two households in which trees were planted that will help in greening the community and eradicating hunger

The delegation is now planting a tree and handing over gardening tools to the ladies who run a soup kitchen and garden at Huhudi Community Health Clinic

The tools will aid them in feeding the elderly and indigent community.
